I am a historian of science and medicine with a research focus on the history of the pharmaceutical industry and the history of drug addiction. Postdoctoral scholars working with me would investigate either the history of pharmaceuticals and the pharmaceutical industry in the United States or the history of drug addiction and, in particular, the origins of the current opiate crisis.
Special Research & Career Skills
Although my primary field is history of science and medicine,I work on bioethics and am active in the bioethics community. I can therefore offer training in bioethics.
